Configuring Your Email Account with IMAP
For optimal performance and synchronization across devices, we recommend configuring your email accounts using the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP).
IMAP Server Configuration
- Server Address: Enter
mail.x2x.cloud
as your IMAP server address. This is the host name of your mail server. - Port: Use port
993
. This is the standard port used by IMAP for incoming mails when SSL/TLS encryption is enabled. - Encryption: Enable SSL/TLS encryption. This ensures that your username, password, and email content are sent over the network securely.
SMTP Server Configuration
- Server Address: Enter
mail.x2x.cloud
as your SMTP server address. This is the host name of your outgoing mail server. - Port: Use port
465
. This is the standard port used by SMTP for outgoing mails when SSL/TLS encryption is enabled. - Encryption: Enable SSL/TLS encryption. This ensures that your email content is sent over the network securely.
Username Configuration
- Username: Your username should be the same as your email address. This is used to authenticate you with the mail server.
Please note that these settings are necessary for most modern email clients, including Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail.
